Knowledge Areas
1. Network Infrastructure
- Expertise in fiber optics, and wireless networks.
- Understanding of IP networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.).
- Knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches, optical network terminals).
- Experience with SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization).
2. Telecommunications Standards and Regulations
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of regional telecommunications policies and broadband funding programs.
3. IT Systems and Security
- Proficiency in cloud computing, data centers, and virtualization.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience with customer management systems (CRMs) and billing platforms.
4. Emerging Technologies
- Awareness of IoT, edge computing, and AI/ML applications in networking.
- Knowledge of innovative network monitoring and optimization tools.
5. Customer Experience
- Insight into customer pain points (e.g., reliability, latency, and speed).
- Familiarity with Quality of Service (QoS) metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- 4×10
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Year round work
